Vanessa and Andrew’s Windmill House AZ wedding was the most breathtaking day from start to finish. The wedding venue they chose is one of my absolute favorites in all of Northern Arizona. The best part is- it also just so happens to only be a few minutes away from my house! Which is crazy, because if you know Chino Valley (where I’m located), then you know there is really nothing here to be honest haha. So to have such a true hidden gem like the Windmill House located right here, seems like sort of miracle.
When you first drive into the venue, it truly takes your breath away and you feel like you’ve been transported somewhere completely different. Chino Valley is more bare without very many trees, but here at the venue, is a whole different story. The entire property is surrounded by tons of gorgeous, lush greenery. My favorite by far are the huge willow trees, which this venue is known for. Vanessa and Andrew got married beneath them, right next to a large pond, which only added to the beauty. As if things weren’t already perfect enough, their ceremony music was a live violin performance by PartyBug Entertainement, that was so moving to hear in person. I remember thinking that I really don’t know how it could get any dreamier than this.
Vanessa and Andrew were just as amazing as the matching atmosphere and were such a joy to work with. You could tell just by looking at them (and here in these photos) how in love they really are and what a strong connection they have. I love what Vanessa told me about how they met and started dating, saying, “We met through a mutual friend. I wasn’t looking to date anyone at the time, but I said sure, why not? 2 and 1/2 years later, it was the best decision I ever made. We’ve been inseparable since day one.” That sounds just like how my husband and I met, so I love that their love story is so similar!
It was such an honor to get to be their wedding photographer and document the day they became husband and wife. I have SO many favorite photos that it was hard to narrow them down for this blog post, but for now here are some of my favorites from such a magical day!
