Prescott Grand Highland Hotel Wedding

At Alisia and Jordan’s Grand Highland Hotel wedding, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the crowd once the ceremony got started. When Jordan saw his daughter come out and start walking down the aisle as the flower girl, the emotions truly hit. You could see just how much love he had for his little girl and seeing it bring tears to his eyes, made all of us watching tear up with him. Then, his stunning bride came next. As you can imagine, this only made the emotions even more real. Both him and Alisia were brought to tears as she was walking down the aisle, and it was such a beautiful moment to get to witness. These emotional, yet immensely joyful moments like these are what truly make me love what I do so much. I feel so lucky to get to document these amazing love stories and get to call this my job.

From beginning to end, their wedding in the Holiday Courtyard at the Grand Highland Hotel in Prescott, was a dream day. All of the details were absolutely stunning and the location could not be any better. The venue is located right in the heart of downtown Prescott, right in the square. I always love getting to do weddings here because we get to walk across the street and take their portraits there right next to the huge, incredible courthouse. We were able to get so much variety in their portraits, with the downtown city vibes, the gorgeous courthouse architecture, all of the green trees, and because their wedding was in the spring, we even got pictures with the absolutely beautiful blooms!!

Even with all of this, my favorite thing about this day is that these two FINALLY got to have their wedding day! Alisia and Jordan actually hold the record for my longest booked couple. They were set to get married in the spring of 2020, but with the pandemic, their plans completely got turned upside down. They had to jump through so many hoops and change their wedding date multiple times. With them booking me back in early 2019, this made them end up being booked with me for two years in the end. So getting to witness them have their big day and getting to celebrate their marriage finally, truly filled me with so much joy.

In her speech, Alisia’s sister talked about how Alisia had been dreamed of having a big beautiful wedding day like this for so long now. This was something she imagined and dreamed of since she was a little girl. She talked about how happy she was that her sister was finally getting to have her dream come true. I might not have known Alisia for quite as long as that, but as somebody that witnessed what they went through over these past two years to get here, I feel the exact same way. There is no two people more deserving and I am so happy that I got to be a part of such an incredible day. When you look through these pictures you can truly see the JOY and the love that these two have for each other. Looking back on these images honestly just makes me happy, because their joy is so contagious! Alisia and Jordan, thank you for trusting me to tell your story. I am so excited to share some of my favorite images here on the blog today!
